Iraq addresses the terrorist funding and training threats from both Iran and Syria simultaneously since Iraq has a border with both of those countries who's states are believed to sponsor the murder of christians, jews, agnostics and atheists throughout the world. Iraq also provides a battleground away from the U.S. to suck such terrorists out of Iran and Syria and elsewhere so that the U.S. or our allies is not the battleground..thus bringing lots of our civilians into the fray. Bringing in U.S. civilians to rebuild the country was clearly done prematurely and that was wrong.
