Nobody is criticizing Kerry about his wounds - at least I'm not. The ONLY question I have (and this was raised by a doctor who treated him) is did he use minor wounds to make an early exit from Vietnam. If the tables were turned you'd question the same thing about Bush

Belittling war heros' wounds is un-patriotic. And this isn't the first time the rightwing has done it. They accused Max Cleland of wounding himself and being "no hero". They accused McCain of being in Viet Cong capivity too long so he went nutty, or even that he ratted out the US to the enemy while a POW. Just dastardly un-American smear stuff not worthy of any caring person.

And it's not as if Kerry had lied about his wounds or exagerrated his heroism. In fact he is quite humble about it. GW lies about reporting for duty in Alabama and poses as a war hero. That's the only reason that's an issue.
