Bergs believe in private charity but realize that it is just not enough. I think i believe that too and that the govt should play a role.
BTW, Who is forcing people to engage in charity at the point of a gun? Keep painting the debate this way and there will be no one left in your camp. Far rightists like you are as ridiculous in their comments as far leftists are in theirs. mike

Charity is an interesting issue. Some politicians/voters believe that charity begins when they take your money and and decide where it should go. Other politicians/voters believe that charity begins when you personally decide where your money should go. I'm not sure if it is totally a left-right issue except perhaps for some "believers" in the extreme left.
