I thought The Art of War was fascinating, and Bryson is marvelous.

I am sure you will get to Argentina- you always seem to get where you want to go.

Hi Coug,

I'm also reading In a Sunburned Country. I laughed myself silly over his being chased by dogs and jumping a fence into a woman's yard. Bryson can make anything amusing and intriguing, although I gave my husband Lost in America and he didn't really like it. He found it too negative and cynical-- and it was more so than the other Bryson's I've read. Have you read that one?
Have you read Blue Highways? William Least Heat-Moon (did I get that right- Im always screwing up the order of his name) is one of Dan's favorites. He loves travel books-- his latest find is Eric Newby.
Let me know about Sun-Tzu. X is going to turn us into intellectuals. I dug out our Marcus Aurelius yesterday to reread the Meditations.
