Well, I admit I am not particularly knowledgeable about the military, but looking at the chart you linked, I note it is dated June 26, 2002. Franks is the commander of CENTCOM at that point, reporting to Rumsfeld. So Abizaid reports to Rumseld. Even granting that you are correct that Myers isn't in that chain of command, I don't see why it makes any difference in YankeeDoodle's overall analysis.

However, I can't fault you for not reading every post on this or any other thread. I certainly don't.

But the one I just posted by Peter Galbraith is worth reading, IMHO. Would like to read a variety of reactions to it. Seems pretty brilliant to me.
