Hi John, While you were gone, and as my opinions shifted with the prison scandal, not because i see it as a war crime comprable as some on the left have said to nazi atrocities, but because it proved to me that there is a an issue of competence in this administration particularly at the DOD. As a fan of rummy i still called for his firing or resignation. I have spent two weeks trying to explain myself. Also politically it is becoming clear to me that if bush doesnt take back his presidency from cheney/rummy/rove all of whom are giving him bad advice, Kerry will be our next president. I suggested that he will be drawn to the center because legislature will stay republican and he will seek to govern from the center bringing in people like bob rubin and holbrook. I suggested that a kerry mccain ticket will kill the republicans if it occurred and because of my affection for McCain, i could vote for it. Comments welcome. Mike
