I would highly recommend switching from Internet Explorer to any one of the Mozilla (the open source browser that resulted from the Netscape code being taken forward) browsers. Firefox is my personal favorite - its a lean highly functional browser. If you want browser, mail etc get the full Mozilla meal.

Lately every machine I look at that has IE on it is stuffed full of spyware, adware, and most of them have one or more "exploit" / trojan / browser installed virus, all courtesy of Internet Explorer. Its just not safe.

Firefox (don't let the 0.8 version scare you - it really is release quality) is the latest. Once you have a "tabbed" browser you will never go back.

You also won't be plagued by pop ups ever again and won't have to run additional software to get there.
