Yes? And when the next Madrid bombing happens, are the same people going to be mad only at their own governments, for not preventing it?

What you are saying is that people in 'civilized nations' have forgotten what an "enemy" is, and remain utterly dismissive of the idea that they might have one.

Plausible, but, I believe, wrong. Few doubt that the Second World War was worth it, and that it would have been desirable to have nipped the rise of fascism in the bud. That alone will control thinking on these matters for some time to come........
