Don > Corporate America also basically controls the government through campaign finance and multi million dollar lobbying programs.

I do appreciate that. I also recognize that, on the issues, there isn't much to choose between Bush and Kerry or between the Democrats and Republicans. In fact, the US, with all its talk about democracy and liberty, is effectively a one-party state today. And similar to tyrannies in Africa, for example, I can see that, in the US, the disconnect between We the People and the government becomes greater every day. Clearly, this is facilitated by the mass of people who, for various reasons, believe anything the government or media tell them.

> Bush Cartel made 9/11 happen, 9/11 made America afraid

Indeed so. That's why I frequently say that the battle may be in Iraq but the real war is in the US, itself. It is a war between the people and the institutions. Thus I believe it behoves those in the outside world to help the American people as much as they can in their gargantuan struggle. Indeed, a struggle, which many/most are not even aware of. And, indeed, a struggle which sooner or later will involve everyone in this world, wherever they live.

There are no "glass houses" any more. We are all in it together.

Re: Bush has worked hard to make America afraid. Fear is a survival mechanism that tells an animal to fight or run. The Bush Cartel made 9/11 happen, 9/11 made America afraid, and the Bush Cartel worked day and night to make Americans believe that 9/11 would be a daily event unless America went to war...

...and you work even harder to keep ISRAEL out of the picture. You say Corporate America is contriving all that mess... Well, I grant you that the media-military complex is real, alive and kicking but, beyond the US industries directly benefitting from military expenditures, I don't see much payoff for Corporate America as a whole. I mean, do you think that the fast-deteriorating image of the US worldwide is any good for US corporations? Take Coca-Cola Co.: the Arab/Muslim world (1.2 billion people) is a fantastic market for non-alcoholic beverages, hence Coca-Cola should make zillions of $ out of it. Yet, because of the US's anti-Muslim crusading, dozens of "alternative Cokes" have popped up everywhere: Mecca Cola, Muslim Cola,... the latest: Corsica Cola (in France). More generally, US brands will have a harder time selling abroad if people will associate them with the US bully....
