Maurice, I think the US cannot afford ($) another front and I think they have little stomach for it. GWB might as well take a staple gun to his own head as rattle sabres with China now. Jeeze, the US is moving troops from Korea to Iraq. China is probably right, the time is now. All of S.E. Asia won't give a damn is my guess. How would Al Q et al capitalize on an aggressive move in SE Asia by the US now? I think the old "Bring em on" swagger is ringing pretty hollow now, don't you? C
