"Just ordered my R3000Z today"

Only two weeks? I played with the configurations and pondered all through the week of 4/29. It always quoted me 4 weeks.

Just like mine! Except for the hard drive, amount of memory, the optical drive, screen resolution...

Oh, and no bluetooth. Everything else is the same. There are a bunch of options on that thing, aren't there? I wander on down to Best Buy every now and then and play with the floor model. And sigh. The keyboard doesn't seem to be too bad, and the display seems to be great. It's heavy, though.

But I need to use Linux. The all nVidia peripherals makes my life a whole lot simpler. Except for the #$!&* Broadcom WiFi. So now I have to decide whether to install for 32 bit or 64 bit Linux. OTOH, I do have this old Aironet 350 card...

Just ordered my R3000Z today.

Same configuration I have been eyeing, but I can't get myself to pull the trigger. Now if AMD's stock would go up 10 dollars I would sell a few shares and buy one of these. Let us know how the screen looks when it comes in.

OT -- R3000Z via Costco.com

If you are a member, you can configure a R3000Z on Costco's site in exactly the same way as at hpshopping.com, but you save a little bit. The (pre-tax) cost of the order I just placed was $1557 at Costco and was $1622 at hpshopping.
