My actual guess is that the dress was daring, but not that daring. Maybe some faint nippleness was visible, and it was enhanced.

I figure if it's a touched up picture, someone will come forward and say so.

So far no one has denied the Bush girls' hi jinx, though. :)

I know some people whose baby's pictures are touched up. A newborn baby does NOT have thick black eyelashes. Thick! And in the mother/baby shots, the mother looks as though she'd been dieting strenuously. But no.

She's a professional photographer out in Hollywood. She thinks doctoring the family photos is SOP. Kinda creepy.
