I hope AMD is flexible. I assume AMD's plans for the above slow ramp to 64-bit were made assuming Intel was not going to push the 64-bit desktop for the Christmas 2004 season. Now Intel's plans seem to have changed, and if they can pull it off, AMD would be stupid to stick to an approach designed to protect 64-bit ASPs; only the top 2 speed bins are protected if 10M 64-bit Prescotts are flooding the market in Q4.
