The curved keyboard is nice, too. Surprising how such a minor change to the layout can make such a big difference.

Is the retail R3000Z called something else? A 3140VS perhaps?

Our local Fry's are selling a bundle for $1299.99 after the $100 rebate which appears to be ~$1,350 online --
A64 3000+, 15.4 WXGA, 512DDR, 60G, DVD+R/+RW Combo, 802.11g, ethernet, 56K, USB, XP Home.

1 of 2 notebooks are AMD, and 2 of 2 desktops, both 3000+. More AMD than I've seen advertised in a long, long time, but it is just the mid-week single-page ad.
