This is where 2/3rds of the Federal Government's spending goes...Thats 1400 Billion Dollars a Year:

Social Security
Medicare
Grants to states: Medicaid*
Civil Service retirement and disability fund
Unemployment compensation
Military retirement fund
Food stamps
Supplemental security income
Commodity Credit Corporation (farm income support)
Veterans compensation and pensions
Family support payments*
Payment where earned income credit exceeds liability for tax
State child nutrition programs*
Guaranteed student loans
Railroad retirement
Payment for annuitants, employees health benefits
Social services block grant*
Payments to states for foster care and adoption assistance*
Rehabilitation services and disability research
Interest on the Debt

The President's Budget has NO option on including these in the Budget on every single budget submission. These programs are growing at 7% to !0% each and every year. A slow economy and these way overlygenerous, unaffordable programs put us deep in the red ink each and every year. A slow economy puts a major chrimp in revenue, bigger than any tax cuts ever given out and results in huge deficits.
