Our love for hometown papers are probably why some on this thread think we are commies.

When I came to Washington I chose the Washington Star as my paper. I read it for years--until it went out of business. The reason I chose the Star was that it was an afternoon paper while the Post was a morning paper. I was working and didn't get a chance to read it until evening so the news in the afternoon paper was fresher. I never gave a moment's thought to what the political slant of either paper might be. As I think back to the Star, I couldn't tell you if it was to the left or the right of the Post.
