I did not say "Bush lied." That's a ridiculous thing to say.

I've gone out of my way, been extremely careful, to specify that I do NOT say "Bush lied."

But if you find it convenient to lump me in with those people, then we really have no reason to discuss the matter further.

Good day to you, sir.

Secondly, even if none are found, we knew Saddam used them and had the ability to get them in the future.

I think this is a significant difference. I understand how others can brush it off.

There is the difference between charging in and having our ducks lined up. We had a lot of wayward or missing ducks, not much in the duckery beyond the first course. That was pretty (pardon my style faux pas) obvious at the time and, as things turned out, it mattered.

Putting forth WMD which have not yet been found as the sole premise for the war is much too simplistic.

There is also a difference between the administration "putting forth WMD...as the sole premise for the war" and individual citizens buying into the war solely on that premise. No, the administration didn't do the former. But millions of people did the latter. So the WMD issue is crucial to them.
