My friend is a soldier. I emailed him the column and he responded that it was a hoax. That's all he said.

When I googled other sources for the Massey charges, I found none. Same column, repeated in several minor league publications. No coverage in the NYT, WP, LAT or any other mainstream news source. Leads me to believe my friend was right.

If it comes out in one of those sources, please do let me know.

Why isn't your friend providing this information to the RW press?

Or to right-wing members of Congress. They'd love to expose charges of civilian mistreatmeant or murder as hoaxes. The very fact that Massey's story has not been denied by anyone speaks for it, given the motive some have to do so.
