I emailed Kerry's righthand guy a half dozen times to pick a half dozen (or more) running mates and get them all out on the trail. Frankly, the choice is very tough because Kerry has too many strong choices. Since most of them need jobs why not hire all the available ones?

Since Iraq is such a serious problem, Wes Clark is a must, but maybe just as Sec of Defense. Big improvement over Rumsfeld.

John Breaux is also retiring from the senate. Add him to the list. Edwards, Clark, Breaux, Gephardt, Graham, Cleland all needing a job. They're all white males but otherwise all terrific additions. Kerry should also include a Republican. From an electoral standpoint Richardson might be the strongest pick. Kerry might ask McCain first even if he knows he's ging to turn it down. Why? Shows bi-partisanship and appeals to moderately conservative swing-voters.
