Will this silence the Israel haters who have claimed that the US did this all for Israel?

I would imagine they will now come up with a theory that Israel is secretly allied with Iran.

That is bull shit. I think we are coming up with a scheme to get rid of Chalabi but he was no spy for Iran. That is a convenient story to come up with.

Sharon was just about screaming at us to get on with it a few months before we finally attacked Iraq. Bush's yelling about Iraq's "long range missiles" were missiles that would go approx 100 miles, i.e. they were able to hit Israel. No threat to US.

We went there to wipe out an enemy of Israel.
