They're loopholes pal. I suggest you read "Perfectly Legal" by David Kay Johnston. It details all the legal tax avoidance schemes written into law for the wealthy. You might even be able to use some of them to avoid paying the upcoming Kerry tax hikes!
The biggest insult to the less fortunate is the FICA tax, that is paid by those making less than 87k in wages, yet spent like any other tax.
As an intelligent American, I locate and use loopholes. I would be happier if they didn't exist. Wealthy people buy loophole packages from Smith-Barney. Poor people have few loopholes, and little chance of finding them.
