Our tax code in it's current form is very unfair. All the arguments I could make are in the book "Perfectly Legal". Even the mortgage interest deduction is a regressive loophole that should be eliminated. Read the book, and you'll know what I mean. There is an entire industry based on skating on the thin edge of legal based on current tax loopholes. When these are ruled illegal, no one goes to jail or pays, and new loopholes are searched for and found. This industry caters only to the wealthy who can pay their fees.
