There are lot of non-rich middle income folks with children who are being treated by the tax code as rich because of the Alternative Minimum Tax. I hate it when politicians say they are raising taxes on the rich and then sock a big rate increase based on salaries while not touching capital gains and dividends where the rich REALLy derive their income from. The truely rich work jobs for fun and amusement, NOT for income.
