It doesn't matter wehre you're coming from. Your Admin claims the right to do what they want with non-US-citizens, and without any legal control.

If they have chosen to use violence against us, then I certainly don't see where they deserve the same rights as US citizens.

The last time I checked, Al-Qaeda is not a signatory to the Geneva conventions.

Why should we treat terrorists, let alone Islamic militants, as criminals when in their own eyes they see themselves as holy warriors chosen by Allah to wage Jihad against the US without THEMSELVES showing any respect for the Geneva conventions??

And on the other hand, why should we extend to them the right of protection as a belligerent when they violate all the tenets and rules designated in the Geneva convention?

I believe that a signatory of the Geneva convention is NOT bound (but is encouraged) to offer such protections to non-signatories... especially those that violate it's tenets at every opportunity.

As for claiming there is no legal control.. That's just absolute foolishness.. You might NOT LIKE the kind of legal process used in dealing with them, but they are, in general, subjected to a legal process... A military one.

And in a military tribunal, there is no jury system. But there are advocates (prosecutor and defense) that argue before the military judges.

And if it's the lack of a jury system in dealing with these terrorists that you find so offensive and so totalitarian, then there are quite a few democracies out there that qualify as totalitarian.

Get a grip Boris... Your BS comments about the US being a totalitarian state are hardly credible, nor do they reflect the reality.
