But then, even when he does, the liberal left will make sure to poke as many holes in his presentation as possible in order to try to rob GWB of even the semblance of success

They have the "lose, lose," already framed. If he goes after his opposition, he is "whining." If he doesn't, he is "weak."

Truth is Andrew in my heart of hearts i hope that GWB is reading this thread and reading my posts that are really a plea to him. I can play act voting for kerry but it sickens me to think that it now is in the realm of possibility. Bush has spoken so poorly for so long, since I learned to love the guy who made those great speeches post 9/11. I am hoping you are right and typing these posts hoping I will be wrong. The word i want to hear tonite from GWB is accountablility and again I dont care who goes, someone has to. This is an arrogant, can do no wrong crowd and some of their partisans are right here on this board. The fact is all men fuck up regularly. Big men admit it on some level. These guys made a mistake in ops in this war. Fess up to that and fix it and bring in folks who have opposed policy but support a positive outcome in Iraq. Give McCain DOD before Kerry gives him VEEP. And if not McCain, there are plenty of other competent folks. And fire the guy at the CIA just for the hell of it. Tenet is a fool and the chalabi affair points that out further. MIke
