Bush does not have the economy working for him. Consumer confidence has dropped dramatically since January. Why? Because while business profits are up 87% - wages and salaries are up 4.4%.

Bush seems in supreme denial. He never admits mistakes, lies and failures. As for his economy, we've got growth and new jobs but only off a abyssmal bottom (due to his war) and now combined with inflation, huge deficits and very visible pocketbook issue record gas prices. Everyone knows Bush-Cheney are in the oil business and now they realize they didn't use any of their power to help us, merely to gouge us.

Responsisble Republicans are finally starting to abandon Bush, as well they should. The GOP needs to clean house. Many rats will go down with the ship and they will be squealing loudly from now until November.
