The parts emerged without occupation or conquest. That is a paradigm shift.
All the same people are still there, all the communists, the bureacrats, and the citizens.
It is their outlook that is different.
They didn't change their mind because someone pointed a gun at them or bombed them into exhausion.
They changed their mind because they had a new vision of the future, and it was not the neocon vision.
