The article in the ST Sunday certainly had that feeling to it. In fact, it would be interesting to have an entire video of all the interviews that were done with the Lost Boys of Sudan, and make it a required part of the High School experience for all kids, no matter their skin color, nor ethnic background.

These boys came from nearly overwhelming odds, and those who survived (it appears about 20,000 of the estimated 40,000), have continued their lives and are an inspiration to us.

They are wonderful, hard working, fun loving, young men who happen to be black and to have had a real bad childhood experience. Yet they ooze success and picked up a strong work ethic somewhere.

I posted an article a while back about the different attitude of whites here toward African immigrants. We tend to assume the above is true. OTOH, we tend to assume that local blacks, especially if they have a "hip-hop" look, are loudmouth layabouts. Bermudan's in NYC make a big point of their superiority.
