The 500k demonstration last summer was perhaps energized more by fear of police /state power, and less so than by desire to exercise one person one vote. The two issues are related, but not quite the same. Would that be similar to 'I don't care if I get a vote, so long as they don't screw with my ability to get rich and keep it" ? Given the probable alternative, that is somewhat understandable I think. C
