Nobody runs around calling herself a cultural Marxist.

People are running from the term, "Marxist" and even "Liberal" today. Marxism is still taught, and Marx's ideas still resonate with the left. The difference is that they don't want the term used to identify the source of their ideas.

LOL. Yes, a clear sign that it's an epithet.

I had only seen the term used a few times. I can understand why it resonates. It has just enough aptness of a superficial aptness to become popular but not enough to be useful for much more than reinforcing "them and us."
