your guys did not plan properly It was more than that. There was an active neocon contempt for any idea that had been tried or put forward by a democrat. Ideas were not just overlooked, they were sneared at. That attitude has not really changed, even if Bush keeps moving toward the Kerry positions on the war. TP

This differs from all the previous conflicts in that our enemy doesn’t have or even claim to have any constructive ideology that is uniform among its ranks. Our enemy is the diverse and multiple organizations, groups, and individuals that hate us (and often each other) either because of some corrupt envy for our accumulation of power and wealth or for some perceived threat to their sense of autonomy and way of life, or simply because they are frustrated with the world and are ready to die rather than live in community with us, the unclean. This enemy is not one government with an ideology that is contradictory to ours. It is any individual who is lacking, with a gripe or frustration and who is willing to lash out at a system that provides security, sustenance, and opportunity for its members, but from which they have been sidelined. This enemy doesn’t offer us anything that is negotiable or mutually beneficial. This enemy promises death, destruction, and annihilation simply because we are who we are and represent ideals that are in conflict with brutal and tyrannous countrol of the realestate they are bidding on. They're only provision is to offer the opportunity to serve under their rule or die at their hand. The willingness to be members of the larger world community does not exist. It is only to rise and conquer until they have risen to the rank of ruler that they feel suits them. In some cases just pure frustration with the struggles of the world and a common target to blame, the scapegoat USA. Their primary goal is death and annialation to anyone representing or supporting Western Society, secondarily anyone who does not fall under their rule... in other words each other. Now thank you for your comparisons. Hopefully you can also see the contrasts. We don't walk away from this one and expect the enemy to go back to doing whatever they were doing before under some form of government. What they are apt to be doing is continue to build in their efforts to destroy and conquer until they control the lives of every living being and eliminate those they can't control.
