I am not a fundamentalist, nor even a Christian, so I do not know why you suppose I am bound to genuflect before (your) interpretation of the Ten Commandments. You are not very good at dealing with the facts at hand, or with anything philosophically taxing, are you? This fetish about 5 year old wisdom is absurd. In the example, the soldiers do not kill The Other, they kill those who ran a camp which was designed to kill detainees in abominable ways. The idea that a "useful morality" will have no loopholes is laughable. Even a five year old knows what a "white lie" is; even a five year old know what self- defense is; even a five year old know that dad should not keep a casual promise that might get him fired. I have no idea why you are averse to thought, but there it is.......
