Actually my host file is empty except the local host, but all of those other files are in the etc folder with it.

I updated Norton and can get around OK now. Except %#@! now the computer is giving me the blue screen of death.

The message on the blue screen is, "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer."

Then there is 3 paragraphs of mumbo jumbo, then "technical info that differs each time it crashes (ie. ***stop:0X00000000A (0X86CCODID....etc, etc.)

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete

Yikes! Any thoughts on what's going on now??

TIA,
Robert
