You say Iraq is going negative, perhaps its because things are not necessarily going the way WE would like it BUT, lets look at the two latest major battles.
Fallujah
Sadr and his areas

In BOTH CASES it appears the Iraqi's themselves have gotten things under control. I know many of us, me included would have LIKED to see some ASS KICKING for what was done to us, but the truth is the BIG PICTURE is a stable Iraq, if the two above examples mean Iraq IS capable of getting stable on their own we may be closer to the end of the tunnel then we now know. jdn

Some of what you say is dead on. Much of it, however, is a bit overstressed. Americans are an intensely fickle people. Just a few years ago 3000 innocent people were openly murdered, in broad day-light. It almost seems like no one even remembers that.

Americans have also forgotten that war is messy and hard. The military is now infested with a bunch of leaders all of whom were castrated by Vietnam. What America needs is leaders of the World War II specie. Well, what America needs is a nation of people of the World War II specie. Americans are really fat, soft and stupid.
