Americans are really fat, soft and stupid. I disagree. I think we just have a high percentage of whiners here on SI..... JLA

I agree Americans are one fickle bunch. And, I agree it's way to early to declare a winner in the Presdential contest. All I'm saying is that taking historical trends and numbers into acount, things aren't looking good for any incumbent President.

yes, but america has military weapons. americans will wake up when many americans are killed. americans don't care much re what happens in sudan, africa, asia and elsewhere. but, americans will be upset if there are significant attacks on americans. now, americans are very divided because only 3,000 americans were murdered on 9/11. then, after significant attack(s), u s will strike at arabs, muslims or try to appease the terrorists. if u s institutes a policy of striking very hard, the muslims will stop the terrorists (by any means necessary) to save themselves or strike back at U.S. in revenge.
