You're right. The nuts and bolts of exploration and extraction are not my territory, but giving Bush credit for the rise in popularity of hybrid cars was just too much!!! This is a guy who'd just as soon bury every law, every sacred cow, every tradition, every icon, every shred of reference or artifact of any connection human beings might have to the land we all share if it didn't help an oil company turn a profit.

And while you may be able to expound on promising alternative energy sources, Bush cannot and has demonstrated profound disinterest.

So there......dolt.

Since you work in the industry, you surely know that domestic oil production has been dropping almost linearly since about 1971. A straight line projection says we run out of domestic crude in about 2030-2050.

How do you propose to make up the lost production with biomass and other fad energy sources...???? The Alaskan reserve, as I understand it, would only supply us with an additional month or so of our needs... How about showing some data?
