Alamogirl is, of course, a well known authoritative source. My understanding is that official IRS policy these days is to avoid auditing rich people and concentrate on people getting earned income credit, e.g. the working poor. I guess there's some kind of inverted Willie Sutton logic at work there, pretty much normal for the "facts and logic" set.

It's the classical liberals, the libertarians, and conservatives who have fought to reduce governmental intrusion into the private lives of Americans.

Oh... so it's the conservatives who are trying to reduce intrusion into the private lives of Americans, such as reducing the FBI's powers to wiretap private individuals, or protecting a woman's right to make choices about her own body. I guess I've been reading things wrong...

Also, I'm curious why you assume, since I think that Bush is such a dangerous idiot, that I supported Clinton and am in favor of Kerry? I only support Kerry as an alternative to the current Administration, but would never choose him if there were a decent alternative. As for Clinton, as Michael Moore said he was the best Republican President we ever had... but I never voted for him.

I guess I'm saying that your countering arguments of Clinton's deficiencies don't make much of a point since I agree with many of them. They do nothing to deflect the horror of the present administration.
