Why was Bush AWOl on terror before and during 9-11?
When you answer that question, then you might have the right to point your finger at anyone else. Bush was in charge of the government, not Democrats. 9-11 happened on his watch after he was clearly warned. Kerry himself warned Bush and Clinton in a major speech. Bush chose to ignore terrorism as an issue until it became politically necessary, then he used terrorism as an excuse to invade oil-rich Iraq where there was almost no terrorism, ignoring the real hiding places of Al Qaida in the process, including all his pals in Saudi Arabia.

First of all Ann, please learn to stand up on your own and do not try to seek cover under Bearcat and others. I put this question to you and let me state it differently.

Prior to attacking Iraq Bush raised a hue and cry about "imminent threat" from Iraqi WMDs. His folks worked with the intelligence and had all of believe that an attack from Iraq was imminent. That was then.

Now we recently had Ashcroft and Tom Ridge in a circus ring warning us of another imminent threat from the terrorists sometime this summer. Is this stupid on Bush's part or what? For if he thinks he can play on our fears and have us vote for him, we know better to ask him why he spent all that money for the past 3 years and still have us in a "imminent threat" situation. Any comments Ann? Let us not digress. You may choose not to respond and that is your choice. But I would hope you will not respond in a manner which would appear quarrelsome such as "Bearcat has a good point...." etc.
