>> Were you drafted into the Vietnam War?

You've asked this question many times, and i've answered it many times. YES. YES. YES.

>> Would they all come to your belief that we are just wasting lives and money to protect Israel?

Yes. In addition I do agree that 3 different factors came together. In order of importance

1- getting the pro-Israel votes and campaign contributions in US elections.

2- having friendly governments in oil exporting countries.

3- securing military bases in strategic places to perpetuate US military domination.

>> But for you it is simple, the problem is Israel and not hundreds of millions of Muslims who blame Israel and the West for their inability to lead themselves out of poverty and desperation.

Did Iran have poverty when the Islamic revolution over-threw the Shah ? Was that an economic revolution or a social one ? Wasn't that just a violent continuation of the peaceful revolution of 1954 that was reversed by the US ? You do remember the US restored the Shah after he ran away to Rome following the election of the Mossedaq government ? Or did you think the Islamic revolution just came out of the blue in 1979 ?

Does Saudi Arabia have poverty now ? Do the militants there who kill westerners do it from poverty ? Do they even claim poverty ? Or is their appeal all religion and ideology ?

Do you find it at least interesting that the places that exhibit the most hatered of the US are the places whose governments strive for the closest alliance with the US.

The WTC attackers, where were they from ? The US had been bombing Iraq for 10 years. Did any of them come from Iraq ? Or did they come from Saudi Arabia, whose government enjoys the most intimate relationship with the US ?

And did they come from Egypt, whose government is paid off with a few $billion per year ?

How about the people who held hostage the embassy staff in Tehran ? Would you disagree that they resented the US domination of their country for the previous 25 years ?

How about the various people arrested in Pakistan for attacks against the US ? was their government not a close friend and ally for many years ?

Do you see the pattern ? These people resent the US propping up their hated rulers. So they attack the puppet and the master.
