tonto - I believe the word is not "accepted" - it is more likely "sought" - perhaps we will never know! I guess the question is when did he ralize that he could get 3 phs and get out. Was it part of the plan - or a wake up call one night in a dream!

That's true, Tonto. The same fine type of soldier fought both in Vietnam and currently in Iraq. The fact that John Kerry's conscience allowed him to accept a purple heart for a scratch, shows his lack of character. He's merely an over-ambitious politician.
