Al Gore volunteered. John Kerry did. The Johnson son-in-law. Usually the democrats did. The republicans generally took the shirkers' route.

That's amazing. Must be quite a collection you hang around with. I guess that's why they went to a volunteer military.

Maybe it just depends on what part of the country you hang around in.
