I agree with Ish. Let the combat dead rest in peace. Let their loved ones mourn without disruption. If you really want to make a difference, don't analyze Tillman, analyze your own contribution if any.

Nice post unc, but did you read the whole line of posts that led to the "angst of Ish?" If you did, then the question is not whether we should "analyze Tillman," the question is whether we should analyze the military and civilian "leaders" who attempted to mislead us about the circumstances of his death and, further, analyze the reasons for their duplicity.

I think that's a fair topic for discussion and that if anyone has attempted to abuse the memory of Mr Tillman's life, it's those "leaders."

Jacob is already a doctor, so it seems to me that he is already serving humankind.

I suppose we could debate who serves humankind better, soldiers, doctors, farmers, whatever.

If someone is essential, what possible purpose can be served by denigrating them? Are rental property owners superior human beings somehow?
