"I hate war..." is an empty slogan, unless it is followed by, "...so, I won't do war."

Jacob,
If it were only that easy.

Pacifists and leftists tend to be undisciplined, often have confused morals, tend to make excuses for bad behavior... and usually aren't willing to die for their beliefs.

I agree.

Do you really think Militant Islam means to make war on us till they have killed 2 billion people?

I do believe they are ready and willing to do that, yes.

They do not think they will have to. They do not believe all of us Americans, Christians and Jews are willing to fight for our beliefs and freedoms. They believe they can destroy our will and convert many of us to radical Muslimism with continuous targeted attacks. But yes, they are prepared to kill the rest.

I admit so far their tactics show much promise.
Many Americans have already lost or never had the will to fight. Close to 4,000 have been killed by the extremists, and many times that number have already converted to Muslim...some to militant extremist forms of Mulsim. The numbers are small but growing and the war has just begun.

I believe every American is entitled to his or her opinion and religion and strongly support the freedom of expression. It would be nice if the left valued these rights and freedoms highly enough to be willing to sacrifice to both maintain them and pass them on.

Yet it seems, while we continue to super-size ourselves, our collective heart is growing smaller. We have to shake off the doldrums. At some point we have to have a morsel of faith in our leaders. This week Kerry is telling us we are not prepared for Nuke, bio or chemical attacks. Is it fair to assume he thinks we are going to be attacked with them? I hope he believes that, because I agree.

But, in addition to all those admirable qualities, Boykin is also an excellent recruiting tool for Al Queda.

I wish you could meet him. Boykin is a Prince of a man. Softspoken and grips your hand up to the wrist in a friendly handshake. He takes the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States quite seriously. He has an opinion and a religion. Well if any American has personally earned those rights (other than by birth) it is Jerry Boykin.

I agree with your assertion that the free expression of religious beliefs in America is a major AQ recruiting tool. You seem to be advocating muzzling those Americans who do not share your (or someone else's) beliefs because they might upset or even motivate militant Muslim extremists to attack us.

If we are already at the point where The Bill of Rights is not applicable to very American, we are much deeper shit than I thought.

I have written before that many Americans are going to be very disappointed to learn that the final outcome of this war will not be settled with a withdrawal from Iraq.
This war has not even started good, and the final outcome is far from clear.
