You initially said Saddam asked our "permission" to invade Kuwait. Cut the crappola, whaleboy.

And he did come and ask permission...with hat in hand. Doesn't mean that he was not a lying POS too.

But in the discussion, he saw the American position was soft. Saddam took that as a green light.
