Romas are sauce tomatoes. But when I fertilized them heavily with manure and compost one year, they came out bigger than your fist and were delicious eating raw.

The determinants, of course, drop their load and then die. The indeterminants bear right up until frost.... sometimes beyond as I usually cover them up the first couple of frosts. That way I get a coupla more tomatoes.
