I noticed CBS had a segment tonight on how the economy is still the big election issue, particularly in the swing states. They focused on Ohio and job loss due to outsourcing.

I can't tell whether that's right or not. The Washington take is the same one you take and I tend to take, which is the fortunes of the Iraq invasion and all the investigations thereto are the key items. But it could be that outside Washington that's all secondary, still, to the jobs issue. And, so far, I've seen nothing in the jobs data to suggest the good paying ones are growing much.
