Yiwu,my son(Canadian) has a business in Beijing, which produces soap with skin softeners and different fragrances in it.He employs 6 people at present.Believe it or not,he just got a deal to supply soap to a hunting supply store in British Columbia.Apparently , this soap hides the scent of the hunters from the deer, moose and other animals. He constantly extols the work ethic of the people that work for him.

Those folks in Beijing are quite content and happy to live there. They would not move to other countries, except temporarily for studies or trainings. The ones who would emigrate to other countries are from southern China where the population density is greater, and less opportunities in very stiff competition environmnet. Whoever gets a decent well paying jobs, they are very energetic and high producers. So many foreign companies are paying 25% wages and higher productivity on top of that. And there is endless supply of labor for the next 50 years, at least. When Lamborghini and Ferrari have to lower their prices, guess where they will move their production to. Other countries wanting to compete in production of wordly goods in the future will have to consider not only relative wages, but also energy, education and brain power.
