Bob, your missing most of Kerry's service. His first posting was on a destroyer that was part of a carrier battle group off Vietnam. He requested reassignment to the Swift Boats. He could have served his whole hitch on the destroyer. I agree it's not a big issue, but at least get your facts straight.

Again you do the same thing. My question was: Based solely on their military service (junior from the Air National Guard and Kerry from the Navy) which of the two candidates do you think looks more presidential?

In your answer you try to portray it as if something Kerry did after he left the service was part of his military service. You are no better than ann.

I disagree that Kerry had 4mos of distinguished service. His 1st CO said that Kerry begged him to submit the purple heart paperwork. The CO stated he finally filled out the forms just to get Kerry off his back. The MD that treated his superficial wound said it required antiseptic and a bandaid. That doesn't describe distinguished service, rather it describes a medal hustler. Kerry while being interviewed by the Boston Globe said none of his injuries caused him to lose more than 2 days. He has almost admitted that he learned how to dupe the medal system in order to get home and run for office. How presidential is that type of behavior?

Is it not correct that the Commander-in-Chief is the highest rank in the U.S. military? Does that not count as military service? We know how presidential GW Bush acted under severe stress, how would Mr Kerry act?
