Bush is not a "hard liner."

He is a very weak and deeply flawed man, plagued by insecurities, who lacks the confidence to follow through on a mission.

He abandoned the pursuit of our enemies because he lacked the backbone to challenge the neocons' pre-conceived agenda. Even Rumsfeld has begun to publicly question the effectiveness of the so-called "war on terrorism." Tom Clancy is questioning Bush's effectiveness as commander in chief. General Zinni is openly appalled by Bush's weakness and lack of direction.
