re: Most people who supported the war in Vietnam did not think the the whole world would go communist if we didn't fight Vietnam, or if we pulled out after the fighting started. That's not what was being sold. It was "make a stand now, the world is turning communist", and frankly it appeared that way at the time. It's easy to dismiss that now; it wasn't so easy in the middle of the cold war. It obviously turned out to be 180 degrees wrong. Wonder how the Iraq reverse domino theory will turn out? What do you think? John
